Many years ago my wife and I often visited our relatives along Lanz Lane. Next to your property along the creek. In the fall during hunting season Dave Rosenberg, his son Bob and I would visit with Don and his wife. Sometime when I was hunting the hill above your site I could hear Don chanting. His voice traveled down the valley and up the hill. His chants were all part of what nature provided us.
Now that I am retired and my wife has passed I find myself traveling about and visiting past places that provided comfort. I was sadened to see your property closed off. Like many things past, our relatives have also passed and their property sold off. My question to you now is, would you be interested in permitting me to set up a temporary camp inside your property? Leasing or renting the space would be acceptable. This would also provide a presence at the site and a comfort place for me to chill out. I now live in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio and you can reach me at the address above.

    • Bill,

Thank you so much for sharing your memories in such rich detail. I can imagine hearing Don chanting in the distance. It sounds positively inspiring.

I have a picture in my mind of two or three hunters in the camp during the late 90’s. It would be fun to think one of them might have been you.

Our site is separate from the original land owners, however I can forward your request to “a guy who knows a guy” and ask that you be contacted if they want.

      Good Luck,

      – Jeff

P.S. To anyone who can help Bill: please leave a reply. If necessary we at the site can pass contact information via e-mail.

  2. Hi Jeff ,
I was ordained by Warren Light Center & Church of Ageless Wisdom in 1997 and am wondering if anything is still going on at the Center. Who all is still working and how do I renew my membership for The WLCMA? is Rev. Terri Dorosch- Shupenko still with the Warren Light Center? I would LOVE to see WLC up and running again. There is a real need for the teachings and love we all shared. Often Rev. Bishop Bill J.Dye and I connect. Woul really like to Speak to Sierra,Terri or some of the group I knew. Blessings and thanks. My number is 1-814-663-5640 and I reside in Corry Pa area. .I do have several pictures of Bill while being ordained.

    • Hello, Charlene. It’s good to hear from you.

I don’t have any information on WLCMA or Terri.

The land of the Warren Light Center itself is now closed to the public. You can see the locations of special places on maps which we’ve placed around this web site. It’s not the same, but can trigger powerful memories. Please look around the site and leave comments at the different pictures, if you want to share them.

A number of us met a couple of years ago at one of Shirley Baum’s occasional gatherings nearby. Do you know her?

Thanks for the message. Perhaps another of our visitors will be able to help you. As more people find out about the site and leave messages it becomes easier rebuild contact.

      – Jeff

To All: Can anyone help Charlene?

  3. Hi again Jeff and hello Sally,
It is unfortunate that there are no longer any events or that the center is no longer open to the public.
Being a Chief in the Navy gives me a different slant on organizations and organizing events.
Organizing is labor and time intensive and takes someone that can plan, market and execute an event.
I have a feeling that eventually the Center will call and the person that is ready to take the reigns will show up and just like the movie “Field of Dreams” if you plan it they will come.

Unfortunately the Metaphysical and Psychic field is not like it used to be…When I was involved many years ago it was for the fun of it and pure investigation…Now we have Mediums from New Jersey and others that are in it for the $$$. I know you have to cover expenses and that’s reality, but it can be done well, with stule and in the end everyone can have a great experience.
Hopefully whatever happens will turn out well and is successful.
Let me know what happens and what I can do.
Yours in spirit…Yours in the Spirit of Karate…
    Shihan Donald Palko

  4. Jeff, so sorry that the Warren Light Center is no longer open to the public. My parents, Art and Irene Rucinski, along with Sol and Elaine Lewis began an organization called the Michigan Metaphysical Society, or MMS as it got to be known (it closed with the passing of Sol). Kathy Dowdy was a big part of teaching the truth and it was great to see pics of her. I will try to dig up some pictures of Sol lecturing. Irene worked with him at doing past life readings. All of them have passed on, but they had wonderful memories and great stories to be told at our meditation meetings of the higher learning they received at the Center. I wish I could have been part of the experience.

    • I remember Sol and met his wife. I can’t remember if I met your parents. Perhaps as more people share stories memories will be jogged.

The Michigan Metaphysical Society was often mentioned. I’d have liked to made it there.

We’ll be happy to receive pictures you can share.

  5. I remember visiting the Center and after saying hello to Don and Charlene Anderson, John and Ina Gallagher I would go into the center grounds. I would visit the landing site, guardian trees, pavilion, talk to Bill Dye if he was around get a drink from the spring tree and sit quietly in the arena and walk down to French Creek and marvel at how quite and peaceful the area was.

I also remember reading Don Anderson’s explanation of APORCEE and hearing him chanting and singing each morning. We were always invited to sit and meditate in the APORCEE house. I remember talking to the Michigan Metaphysical Society Members and listening to the members of the Church of Ageless Wisdom. Though we always wondered when Bill Dye channeled the space aliens who were reportedly 30′ tall how they were fitting into the room as Bill was only around 5’8 and the room was only 8′ tall.

I was wondering if anything is happening at the site anymore.

    • Don,

Thanks for checking in. The original location of the Warren Light Center is closed to the public. There have been a couple of reunion-type gatherings that may lead to a second incarnation of WLC.I’ll pass your name along to the organizers and perhaps we’ll meet sometime this year.

      – Jeff

  6. My Name is Donald Palko,
I retired in 2005 from the U.S. Navy after 24 years. I was involved with the Metaphysical Research Group (MRG) in the late 70’s and early 80’s. We were invited by Bill and Angie Dye to come out with Taumi Rust and the other members. We celebrated the Summer Solstice and participated in all the activities during the the event for a number of years.

In 1980 I was asked to talk about Tai Chi at the Light Center and it was because of Bill Dye that I did my first reading. Participation in the Metaphysical Studies along with other actions in my life at the time, helped me get started in the Martial Arts that I have been involved in for 34 years. I currently hold a 6th Degree Black Belt in A.I.M.A. Shotokan Kararate-jitsu and use Tai Chi Chuan during my lessons. If you would like me to do a seminar or an activity that I could help with during the next Summer Solstice let me know. I also know a number of people that are vegan and may be interested in attending your event.

Some of the other members of the MRG were: Taumi Rust (Deceased), Diane, Jack Linonis, Jimmy Jackson (Deseased), Pete Fedak, Jackie Fedak and myself.

  7. hi folks.
a quote from the selected letters of Philip K Dick pretty well describes me too.
‘illuminating and embarrassing, brilliant and pathetic…’
I fire walked at WLS with my son Sean.
I gave a spoon bending class with Jeff.
I desired to give an an
alchemy class but the body wasn’t up to it. je regret.
perhaps as the golden age progresses and we live in reverse like Merlin I will.

  8. I grew up from 5 yrs till 17 on WLC grounds every summer. Sue n Bill Macres were my parents and they tended the cook tent for solstice. We owned a trailer on the grounds. Lots of special memories if Biill n Angie n Ina n Bert Gallagher soooo long ago. Miss my childhood!

    • Debbie,

  10. Hi I am Ronald Headley – I do not remember exactly when I was at Warren LIght Center the first time. – I believe I may have gone up there to meet up with Bob Lawrence and Rev. Francis Warfield – probably would have been around 1972 or 1973. At that time I was living in Cleveland Heights Ohio – I was involved with several groups including OSPH (Ohio Society for Professional Hypnosis), Akron Unity, Memorial Spiritual Christian Church, TCSPR (Trumbull County Society for Psychic Research) and an number of other groups. Early on I began friends with Don and Charline Anderson, Joseph and Anna Cecil, Bill and Angie Dye, John and Ina Gallagher, Sol Lewis and many other “regulars” at WLC. I attended a number of summer solstice gatherings as well as some of the spring and fall equinox gatherings and even a few of the winter solstice gatherings. From the early 1970s until 1987 I would go to WLC several times a year, sometimes for conferences and gatherings, sometimes “off season” when only Don & Charline where there and or Joseph & Anna. Sometimes I would stay for a day or two and other times I would stop by while passing through western PA. In 1987 I relocated to Waynesville NC and did come back to WLC a couple of times for the summer solstice gathering. In 1992 I again relocated to Central KY where I presently am. I returned to WLC several times after the move to KY. In recent years I have become an Internet Marketer and even more recently a Web Site designer. The “Universe” woke me up early one morning and said do this site so here it is. If anyone has photos, mailings, programs, or other material from WLC contact me and I will get this information up here on the website – my particular interest at least right now are the program booklets, that were printed and sent out to people on the WLC mailing list. Of course I am interested in getting in contact with WLC attendees.

  11. I may as well get started.

My name is Jeff Limpert. ConiAnn and I heard about WLC from Ron since the 70’s and finally made it up there in the late 80’s. It was a life changing experience that I’ll always be grateful for.

My interests are in helping with the web site and have a couple of pamphlets we’ll try to get scanned soon.

I’ll check the chatter box section for notes, if anyone wants to start a conversation.

    – Jeff
